CCSE test for Spanish nationality: how to prepare and pass

The CCSE is a twenty-five-question test on the Spanish Constitution, society, culture and institutions. To pass, you need to answer at least fifteen questions correctly within the allotted time.

Together with the DELE B1, this exam is used to prove integration into Spanish society when nationality by residence requires it.

The official syllabus covers the political system, territorial organization, history, geography, culture and national symbols. The exam is organized by Instituto Cervantes and applicants from Fuengirola usually take it in Malaga.

Sessions are held frequently throughout the year, so it is worth booking early and checking the conditions of the chosen test center.

The free materials from Instituto Cervantes are usually enough to prepare for the exam. It is advisable to practice with mock tests, review consistently and spend more time on politics and constitutional topics.
