DKV health insurance for foreigners: coverage and prices in 2025

In many procedures the administration requires private health insurance with no co-payments and coverage throughout Spain. DKV often fits that profile well and is a recognized company in immigration files.

Policies for foreign nationals usually include general medicine, specialists, emergencies, hospitalization, diagnostic testing and, depending on the product, maternity cover or basic dental services.

The price depends on age, level of cover and whether the whole family is insured. For a younger applicant, a basic policy without co-payments may fall roughly between forty and sixty euros per month.

It is usually required for non-lucrative residence, digital nomad visas, some family reunification cases and other procedures where private medical cover must be proven.
