Socio-professional rooting permit
Regularization for people with documented 2 years minimum residency and employment relationship in Spain. Current under Royal Decree 1155/2024 from May 20, 2025. Our work: assess case strength, prepare technically ordered documentation, and support you through resolution.
Overview
Socio-professional rooting allows you to regularize your status in Spain if you have been in the country for at least 2 years and can document a real employment relationship, even if it was without formal contract. Since the May 2025 reform, requirements have been significantly reduced: residency period reduced from 3 to 2 years, minimum contract hours reduced from 30 to 20 hours weekly, and the municipal social integration report is no longer required.
Our role is to assess your case strength before filing, prepare documentation in technically ordered form, and support you through to resolution. We review whether your available employment and residency documentation truly meets the standard required by the Immigration Office.
Requirements
- Continuous presence in Spain for at least the 2 years prior to the application.
- Employment contract for minimum 20 hours weekly guaranteeing at least minimum wage, or combination of contracts totaling that workload.

- No entry bans in Spain or any EU member state.

Process
01
Validation
We review whether your available employment and residency documentation meets the standard required by the Málaga Immigration Office under RD 1155/2024. We verify the contract meets 20 hour minimum, registration proves 2 years required, and all documentation is coherent and complete.
02
File building
We prepare the complete file: organize contracts chronologically, request and manage necessary sworn translations, verify each certificate and document before submission, and integrate all information into a coherent professional documentary narrative that facilitates Administration understanding.
03
Submission
We submit the application electronically through our authorized electronic representation. We confirm receipt with official proof and begin tracking the file in the administrative system. We manage any submission issues and verify all annexes are correctly recorded.
04
Support
We respond to all correction requests from the Administration with technically sound answers. We guide you at each step and explain administrative decisions to you. We continue supporting you after the decision, whether in processing the permit or taking appropriate action based on the outcome.
